About Family Tree
This family tree is the result of years of intensive research into my ancestry that
arose out of Europe and Puerto Rico. The people that comprise the tree left a genetic
trail and markers that wind through and around countries whose people settled in
France, Spain, the Canary Islands, Portugal, Terra Firma and ultimately the Caribbean.
There are two main branches of the tree, the Alles and the de Silva. During thier
traveling around the globe thier surnames changed many times as they married into
families and migrated away from their homelands. These changes came as if something
were forcing them to metamorphose and mold themselves in preparation for the next
phase if thier respective country's evolution.
The Alles finally settled in the Canary Islands, Mahon, San Felipe and Menorca
Baleares. From those places thier descendants came to Florida, Louisiana, Cuba,
Dominica, the Filipines and San Sebastian Puerto Rico, Coamo and finally Salinas.
The de Silva's history is just as global and they all followed the same pathways by
land and by sea. One of my ancestors, Ruy Gomez de Silva, became the Prince of Eboli
because he dedicated himself working on behalf of the King of Spain. In turn, his
family members moved from Portugal, Spain and the Canaries to find thier destiny in
the New World.
This is why this family tree's branches are heavy with the Ponce, de Silva, Alles and
Ayes and other variations of the latter surnames.
Juan Luis Ales y Lucia, my ancestor, lived in Cuba. In 1813 he got into trouble with
the Spanish authorities for doing business with the Americans one year after the
Spanish American war. Thirteen years later he shows up again in the records of Puerto
Rico. A cedula de Gracia had been granted him to come to Coamo Puerto Rico to marry
Juana Ebangelista de Jesus y Santos in Coamo. He lied about being a carpenter. He was
a business man who business was shipping goods. He was a "merchant Marine" this is
what my mother said he was.
The Site has been closed for quite sometime now because certain people take and don't
share. Until that changes it will remain closed. Know that its contents have been
copyrighted because a lot of research and time have gone into it.

You will see within my tree the letters PCID, that stand for Post Columbian
Descendants. Those are my ancestors whom I hope to someday align my tree to.
The work continues.
